Sertum Consulting, based in the UAE, was founded in 2011 with the aim to operate in the Energy Arena, in both the Renewable Energy Industry as a Project Developer, and in the Oil & Gas Consulting Business.

In addition to Consulting Work, the first Photovoltaic Project of 27 MW was developed under the subsidiary Sertum Energy Namibia.

In 2017, Sertum Consulting was founded and thanks to the experience of the two founders and to technology agreements with leading European companies, Sertum Consulting offering is now covering Business Development, Engineering and Project Management Consulting Services in the fields of O&G Production Facilities, Power Generation, Renewable Energy and Flare Gas Monetization.

Our team at Sertum Consulting has executed dozens of projects in various industries and with their combined the experience and the support of international investors, Sertum is now capable of proposing a unique offering in Business Development and Project Execution across various sectors ranging from Oil and Gas Production Facilities, Power Generation Plants in both Traditional and Renewable Energy and in Flare Gas Monetization.

In addition Sertum has now access to some unique technology solutions in the field of gas treatment and has access to manufacturing capacity and to engineering and technology providers, in addition to its own engineering capabilities.

Our Management

Enrico Barbaglia

Director of Power Generation and Renewables

Enrico Barbaglia has 28 years of international professional experience with more than 20 years in the Oil & Gas industry with Schlumberger, in the nuclear/mining industry with Areva, as entrepreneur with Sertum Energy and in manufacturing with Shimano. Enrico Barbaglia graduated from Politecnico of Milan with a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career in 1990 as QC Engineer in Shimano Italy, he then joined Schlumberger where he spent 17 years in the O&G industry covering all the career from Field engineer to Geomarket Manager across all the services provided by Schlumberger. In 2009 he joined the nuclear industry with Areva as VP for the Uranium Mining division. After the crisis of the nuclear industry in 2011, he started Sertum Energy developing Renewable Energy projects in Southern Africa. He re-joined Schlumberger in 2012 as VP for Early Production Facilities where he lead the business for 5 years. At the end of 2017 he co-founded Sertum DMCC where he currently holds the position of Director of Power Generation and Renewables.

Ahsan Ali

Director of Oil and Gas Projects

Ahsan Ali has more than 18 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry with Schlumberger (11 years) and with Weatherford (7 years) with a vast international experience especially in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and US in the Production Facilities sector. Ahsan Ali graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Master Degree in Petroleum Engineering. He started his career in 1998 as System Engineer at Weatherford providing turnkey solutions for automating production fields and pipeline operations. In 2006 Ahsan Ali joined Schlumberger as Senior Project Engineer and occupied several positions in the Early Production Facilities business including Production Testing Project Manager in Lybia, Global Business Development and Sales Manager Early Production Facilites and lately Project Director for three production facilities projects in Kuwait totaling 800 M$ in value. At the end of 2017 Mr. Ahsan Ali co founded Sertum DMCC where he currently holds the position of Director of Oil and Gas Projects.
